Your Current Plan
View your active subscription details by going to Settings > Subscription.
Your subscription dashboard shows:
- Current Plan: Starter, Professional, or Enterprise
- Billing Cycle: Monthly or Annual
- Plan Cost: Current monthly/annual rate
- Renewal Date: When your next payment is due
- Status: Active, Trial, Past Due, or Cancelled

Upgrading Your Plan
Upgrade to access more features and increase your hiring capacity:
Go to Subscription Settings
Navigate to Settings > Subscription and click "Upgrade Plan".
Choose New Plan
Select the plan you want to upgrade to. Compare features side-by-side to make an informed decision.
Select Billing Cycle
Choose monthly or annual billing:
- Monthly: Flexible, cancel anytime, no long-term commitment
- Annual: Save 20%, better value for established needs
Review Prorated Charges
You'll see a summary of:
- Credit from unused time on current plan
- Prorated cost for new plan remainder
- Amount to be charged immediately
- New recurring charge amount
Upgrades take effect immediately. You get instant access to all features in your new plan as soon as payment is processed.
Confirm Upgrade
Review all details and click "Confirm Upgrade". Your payment method will be charged, and your new plan activates instantly.
Downgrading Your Plan
Need to reduce costs? You can downgrade to a lower tier:
- Go to Settings > Subscription
- Click "Change Plan"
- Select a lower tier plan
- Review what features you'll lose
- Choose when downgrade takes effect:
- Immediately: Downgrade now (may get prorated refund)
- End of Billing Cycle: Keep current plan until renewal (recommended)
- Confirm downgrade
Downgrading may limit active jobs, team seats, and features. Excess jobs will be paused, and team members may lose access. Review limitations carefully before downgrading.
What Happens When You Downgrade
If your current usage exceeds new plan limits:
- Jobs: Choose which jobs to keep active (others are paused)
- Team Members: Select which users retain access (others are deactivated)
- Data: All historical data is preserved
- Features: Premium features become unavailable

Usage Alerts
Receive notifications when approaching limits:
- Email alert at 80% of any limit
- In-app notification at 90%
- Daily reminder when at 100%
- Suggestions to upgrade if frequently hitting limits
Changing Billing Cycle
Switch between monthly and annual billing:
Monthly to Annual
- Go to Subscription Settings
- Click "Switch to Annual Billing"
- View savings (20% discount)
- Credit for unused monthly time is applied
- Pay discounted annual rate
- Effective immediately
Annual to Monthly
- Go to Subscription Settings
- Click "Switch to Monthly Billing"
- Change takes effect at end of current annual term
- Continue using until annual period ends
- Begin monthly billing at renewal
Annual subscriptions are non-refundable. If you switch from annual to monthly, the change takes effect at your next renewal date, not immediately.

Managing Add-Ons
- Go to Settings > Subscription > Add-Ons
- Browse available add-ons
- Click "Add" next to desired add-on
- Confirm purchase (prorated for current cycle)
- Remove anytime from same page
Cancelling Your Subscription
Sorry to see you go! You can cancel your subscription anytime:
Initiate Cancellation
Go to Settings > Subscription and click "Cancel Subscription" at the bottom of the page.
Provide Feedback
Help us improve by sharing why you're cancelling:
- Too expensive
- Missing features
- Not hiring currently
- Switching to competitor
- Other reason (specify)
Choose Cancellation Date
Select when cancellation takes effect:
- End of Billing Cycle: Keep access until period ends (recommended)
- Immediately: Cancel now (no refund for unused time)
Export Your Data
Before confirming cancellation, you'll be prompted to export your data:
- All job postings
- Candidate database
- Application history
- Messages and notes
- Analytics reports
Confirm Cancellation
Review cancellation summary and click "Confirm Cancellation". You'll receive a confirmation email.
What Happens After Cancellation
- Access continues until end of billing period
- No future charges
- Jobs are automatically paused at cancellation date
- Data is preserved for 90 days
- Can reactivate anytime within 90 days
- After 90 days, data may be permanently deleted
Reactivating Your Subscription
Changed your mind? Reactivate easily:
- Log back into your account
- Go to Settings > Subscription
- Click "Reactivate Subscription"
- Choose your plan (can be different from before)
- Update payment method if needed
- Confirm reactivation
- All your data and jobs are restored instantly
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I try Professional plan before committing?
Yes! New accounts get a 14-day free trial of Professional plan features. No credit card required to start the trial.
What happens if I exceed my plan limits?
You'll be notified and given the option to upgrade or remove/pause items to get back under limits. We never automatically charge you or shut off access without warning.
Is there a contract or can I cancel anytime?
Monthly plans have no contract - cancel anytime. Annual plans commit for one year but offer significant savings. Enterprise plans have custom terms.
Do you offer discounts for nonprofits or startups?
Yes! Registered nonprofits get 30% off any plan. Startups in accelerator programs may qualify for special pricing. Contact sales@hire22.ai for details.
