Too Many Notifications

- Use Quiet Hours for off-work times
- Consider the "Moderate" or "Minimal" profile
Notification Best Practices
Prioritize Critical Alerts
Enable real-time notifications for new applications and candidate messages. These require quick responses to maintain candidate engagement.
Use Digests for Updates
Job performance, team updates, and system news work well as daily or weekly digests to reduce notification clutter.
Set Quiet Hours
Configure quiet hours to maintain work-life balance. Candidates understand business hours and won't expect immediate after-hours responses.
Review Regularly
Audit your notification settings quarterly. Adjust based on what's actually useful and what's creating noise.
Don't Disable Everything
Some notifications are essential for effective recruiting. At minimum, keep new applications and messages enabled to stay responsive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I have different notification settings on different devices?
Email and in-app notifications are universal. However, browser and mobile push notifications can be controlled independently per device through each device's settings.
Will candidates know if I have notifications disabled?
No, your notification preferences are private. Candidates don't see whether you have notifications enabled or disabled.
Can I get notifications for specific jobs only?
Yes! In notification settings, you can configure per-job notification preferences. This is useful for high-priority positions that need immediate attention.
What's the difference between snooze and Do Not Disturb?
Snooze temporarily disables a specific notification type. Do Not Disturb pauses all notifications. Both are temporary and automatically re-enable after the set duration.
